WASHINGTON (AP) A steel rainstorm hitting Ohio and Illinois has no reported deaths, and no homes have been damaged, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Center in Cleveland says the steel rain has caused widespread damage in Ohio and several other states, including Ohio.
It was expected to weaken to a low, low-grade storm in the northern part of the state Friday morning, but is expected to move southward into southern Illinois.
The rain will continue through the night, the weather service said.
Winds will weaken over parts of the eastern part of Ohio and into Illinois, the Weather Service said.
