The next film in Michael Steele’s “COUNTING ON” trilogy is scheduled for release next year.
Steele is directing the third installment of the series, which is based on the book by John Steinbeck.
Steele also stars in the first film, which will be released this fall.
Steele and his wife, Susan, are also producing the new film.
The “COUNTRY” director, whose last film, “GRAVITY,” grossed $60 million worldwide, is producing the “CATCH ME IF YOU CAN” sequel.
Steele, who has been married to Susan Steele since 1982, was born in Detroit.
He and Susan have two sons.
In 2010, Steele won the Golden Globe for best director for his role in the Oscar-winning drama “The Good Wife.”
In 2017, he also won a Peabody Award for best actor in a comedy.
The Steele family owns a small Detroit-area hotel.
